TBX61MMO Tools&Certification OM220A/OS420ST/OVN100

The Tools&Certification set contains everything needed to be a complete package for the installer or the technician of fiber optic cables. This set contains the tools to terminate and polish SC, ST or FC connectors, a curing oven, a microscope for inspecting the connectors, a power meter with an intern memory for 500 measurements, a source and software for documentation. The test set includes the following products:

OM220A
The meter is a general-purpose power meter suitable for a both premise and outside plant applications. The meter is suitable for both single-mode and multimode applications, depending on the source which is used. The meter has an user selectable choice of 0,1 or 0,01 dB resolution, on board memory for 500 readings with date and time stamp, a serial port and an USB port for communication with a PC. The included PC software easily download and document the measurement results stored in the memory. The results can be printed directly from the software or can be saved in a spreadsheet file. These features make of the meter a perfect certification tool. The meter measures optical power, loss (attenuation) and optical return loss. The meter is calibrated at industry standard wavelengths (NIST traceable). The zero reference function is ideal for testing fiber optic cables in dB, the reference value is saved in the power meter. A universal 2,5 mm universal adapter with a threaded housing is included, other adapters are also available as an accessory. Due to the backlight the data is always visible. The meter is delivered in a protective rubber boot.

OS420ST
The sender is for premises and campus cabling networks with multimode fiber or for single-mode fibers up to 5 km at 1300 nm. The connector output can be adapted to any cable plant with hybrid adapters or hybrid cables. This unit is easy to operate with only a wavelength/power switch, which selects optical wavelengths or disables the unit. The light source is designed for performing insertion loss measurements on fiber optic links when used with an optical power meter. Whether testing outside plant or premise an optical source is the perfect tool when combinated with an optical power meter. The output is stabilized to ensure accurate test results per current TIA/EIA requirements. The wavelengths are individually adjustable with a mechanical screw to have a variable attenuator or to reduce the output power. This make it able to save battery power when high optical output power is not necessary, or to turn up the power to test long runs. The sender is delivered in a protective rubber boot.

OVN100
The OVN100 is a portable curing oven that terminates 6 low cost epoxy/polish connectors at the same time in a matter of minutes. The OVN100 is the ideal tool for a fast, reliable and cost-effective assembly of connectors, with a 90% plus yield. The average time is 5 to 10 minutes and the temperature is 90°C. The oven is for the standard ST, FC and SC connectors which are mounted by hand. The portable curing oven is rugged and molded into a rubber to allow field jobs. The power is a 12 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC adapter.
