| With the OS400 series AFS Europe offers the installer a complete range of
pocket size optical
sources. Single-mode, multi mode, outside plant environment, premise or POF
(Plastic Optical Fiber) all can perfectly tested by the OS400
series when combined with the OM100 and OM200 Power Meter series. Take a

The OS405 laser source is,
with a range of 635nm, one of the most advanced visual fault locator
on the market. |

The OS417 light source is
designed for plastic, large core multimode fibers. |

The OS420 light source is
very useful at premises, campus cabling networks with
multimode fiber and single fiber under 5 kilometers. |

If an optical source for
gigabit Ethernet or fiber channel is needed, the OS420 VSCEL laser/light source is
necessary. |

| The only equal features are the compact handheld
enclosure size and the power supply of 2 AA batteries or AC power
adapter. So there are a lot of differences between the specifications of

at the OS417 to 1320/1550 at the OS430. |

All sources have a
stability per hour of less then 0.5dB, except of the
OS420 VSCEL with a stability of less then 0.1dB per
